Why the utility matters to a plumber
Who supplies your gas decides who you call in an emergency, who sets and upgrades the meter, and who has to restore service after a leak. Who supplies your water decides where the curb valve is and where your responsibility for the yard line begins.
And who has jurisdiction decides who issues the permit and sends the inspector. Inside a city it is usually the city; outside, it is the county. We deal with all of them, but it helps to know which one is yours.

What areas do you serve?
We are based in Spartanburg County and work all across it, first and foremost Spartanburg, Boiling Springs, Inman, Moore and Chesnee, along with Arcadia, Campobello, Clifton, Converse, Cowpens, Drayton, Duncan, Fingerville, Glendale, Gramling, Greer, Holly Springs, Landrum, Lyman, Mayo, Pacolet, Pacolet Mills, Pauline, Reidville, Roebuck, Southern Shops, Startex, Una, Wellford, Whitestone and Woodruff. We also serve Gaffney in Cherokee County. In western North Carolina we serve Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Forest City, Rutherfordton, Spindale, Union Mills, Mill Spring, Tryon, Columbus and Green Creek. If you are near the edge of that, call and ask.
Who is responsible for the water and sewer line in my yard?
Generally the utility owns the main and the meter, and the homeowner owns the pipe from the meter to the house and the sewer line from the house to the city tap. Those yard lines are ours to dig up and repair.
The gas company shut off my meter. Can you get it back on?
The utility turns the meter back on, not us. What we do is find and repair the leak on your side of the meter, pressure-test the piping, and get it ready for the utility to restore service. Once they relight, every appliance needs to be relit and checked.
Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes. The phone is answered around the clock, seven days a week, including nights, weekends and holidays. Customers have reached a person at 2am on a Sunday. Call and you will talk to someone who can tell you what happens next.
